Autonomous Vehicles
A provisional agenda has been released for the second session of the UNECE Working Party on Automated/Autonomous and Connected Vehicles. The agenda* covers a range of topics, including:
- Cyber security and data protection
- Over-the-air software updates
- Automatically Commanded Steering
- Complex Electronic control system requirements
- Advanced Emergency Braking Systems
- Motorcycle Braking
- A range of proposals to UN Regulations, GTR No. 3. and more
The session is to take place on 28 January 2019 in Geneva.

Emissions
In the EU, Decision 2018/2079 was released, approving of the engine idle coasting function as an innovative technology for reducing CO2 emissions from M1 passenger cars.
EU Regulations 2018/2042 and 2018/2043 were released, clarifying the WLTP test conditions and monitoring of type approval data.
A proposal was made to amend GTR No. 19 on the evaporative emission test procedure for the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP EVAP).
